Infinity Friends Club

Weekly club with activities and friendships.

Infinity Friends Social Club

Infinity Friends is a social club for autistic youth. Our members meet weekly to make friends and take part in ability based activities. We meet at our clubhouse in Thomastown, Ballydangan and have almost 100 children attending over 5 days of the week.

As a recreational space, the emphasis is on play, exploration, peer connection, and creativity. Sessions are planned by volunteers in response to children’s interests and sensory needs, rather than through therapeutic programming. This distinction helps maintain a joyful, relaxed atmosphere.

Parents / carers remain present and responsible for their child at all times. Unfortunately, we are not able to accomodate siblings in the clubhouse during groups.

Clubhouse Activities

Our weekly groups are held in our dedicated Clubhouse, equipped with sensory room and an OT space. We have a large enclosed garden with a trampoline, swingset/climbing frame, sandpits and a mud kitchen.

Inside the members can avail of the numerous tabletop activities, such as lego, puzzles, jigsaws, playdough, boardgames and many many more.

Guided social interaction in small groups helps children practice communication in a low-pressure setting.

Community Activities

When possible, groups also take part in activities outside of our regular weekly meet-ups at the clubhouse. These include outings such as horse-riding, bowling, and swimming, etc.

Participation in these activities can help develop communication skills, support emotional regulation, and encourage meaningful social interactions. While showing the community the importance of acceptance, understanding, and celebrating differences.

Family Days

Infinity Friends strives to host two to three family events each year, bringing together our members, their parents, and siblings in a warm and inclusive setting.

These gatherings include our annual Christmas party, outings to local pet farms, family cinema screenings and family celebrations held in our clubhouse.

My 14 year old daughter Abbie has recently joined the group , its a long time since I’ve seen her so comfortably around a group of people. It’s brilliant to see her just being herself and having fun. It’s a chance for her to make friends for life. And she is loving it.

Thanks INFINITY FRIENDS For having us.
